Ascending Wedge Patterns

Market Terms

We don't know everything about the markets.  We're just devoted to learners.  Taken from those smarter than ourselves, here's how we define Ascending Wedge Patterns.

A bearish technical indicator created by price moves that show a horizontal line across swing highs and a rising line across the swing lows.  These two lines create an rising triangle pattern.  They typically begin wide at the bottom and constrict as the prices rise and the trading range narrows, converging at a single point known as the “apex.”  Traders watch triangle patterns like this to determine when breakouts will occur.
